LCC International University is pleased to welcome Dr. Christopher Howard as our new Academic Vice President, beginning August 1, 2023. Dr. Howard comes to LCC with a strong background in teaching, research, accreditation, and leadership. His most recent work has been at Pfeiffer University (North Carolina).

Dr. Howard earned his Bachelor’s degree at Carson-Newman College, his Master’s degree at St. Louis University, and his PhD in Organizational Leadership at Regent University.

LCC International University President Dr. Marlene Wall says Dr. Howard will be a valuable part of the institution. “We are very excited to welcome Dr. Chris Howard into this executive leadership role. We look forward to the growth and strength that will come as a result of the skills and experience that Chris brings to LCC.”

Dr. Howard will be joined by his wife Meaghan, who has an EdD in Kinesiology and will be the Director of the online Master’s program in Kinesiology at Montreat College (North Carolina). The Howards have one son, who is in his second year of studies at California Baptist University.

Dr. Christopher Howard adds he is excited to join the leadership team at LCC International University. “I’m excited to join the LCC International University community dedicated to mentoring students from all over the world who share a common mission. My wife and I are both waiting to get to know all our new colleagues and welcome the students from more than 60 different countries back to the University campus in just a few weeks.”

Dr. Howard follows in the strong footsteps of Dr. J.D. Mininger who left LCC International University to take the role of Provost at American University of Bulgaria in August 2022. Since that time, LCC has been grateful for the interim Academic Vice President role of Dr. Mark Sargent, formerly Provost at Gordon College (Massachusetts) and Westmont College (California).

LCC International University is a Christian liberal arts university located in Klaipeda, Lithuania. LCC has a student body of over 700 students from 65 countries. The residential campus community of LCC demonstrates a relational and peacebuilding culture, as we seek to prepare a new generation of leaders for a world that needs their message of hope.
